Aoudad are native to North Africa’s mountain regions and are also known as Barbary Sheep. Known for their unique manes and smooth horns this sheep is easily recognizable. It was in the 20th century that the Aoudad was introduced to Europe and Mexico, it can now be found in North America in Texas and New Mexico.
