What people are saying.

  • "Thank you again for the outstanding work on the sheep. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with how it turned out. I also want to thank you and the staff for your transparency in discussing the moss staining and going the extra mile to pull the horns off to find the root cause of my issue. It's this type of service and trust that will keep me coming back."

  • "Just wanted to let you know that my brown bear was delivered last Saturday. He looks GREAT!!! The best word I can use to describe him is: INTIMIDATING! You guys did a fantastic job, start to finish! From your clear and detailed instructions on handling the hide in Alaska to listening to my specific requests on the pose/base/habitat to Josh’s expertise altering the form and stretching the hide to achieve full dimensions to arranging for the shipping…everything was great! Please pass along my thanks to everyone in the shop who worked on this mount. I look forward to working together again soon."

  • "My uncle brought home my shoulder mount last Friday evening. He's hunted his whole life (including Dall sheep) and didn't know the shoulder mount had replica horns! He said "it was even plugged". Really remarkable job. Both Dewey and Wyo Backcountry Decor deserve their great reputation. Thank you very much for the beautiful ram."

  • "Please tell Dawayne how pleased we are with the trophies from our Zambia safari. Your guys did a fantastic job on each but the clear standout of the group has to be the baboon, which greatly exceeds all expectations! The pose is so incredibly lifelike and reminds us of the troup we saw every morning in the Bili Bili camp. Each of the mounts bring back wonderful memories of that trip, particularly Lori’s reedbuck and waterbuck, each of which are larger than mine, and the sable. The Sharp’s grysboks are quite nice as well. Thank you all so much for sharing with us your skill and art."

  • "I picked up my ram Monday and didn't have much time to chit-chat. This ram is important to me and could not be more thrilled with how he turned out - I think he is stunning and am thankful to have him back and so well done. Looking at him for me is to experience a passage from Hemmingway's For Whom The Bell Tolls: "You Like to hunt?" “It is a different thing, though,” Anselmo said. “In my house, when I had a house, and now I have no house, there were the tusks of boar I had shot in the lower forest. There were the hides of wolves I had shot. In the winter, hunting them in the snow. One very big one, I killed at dusk in the outskirts of the village on my way home one night in November. There were four wolf hides on the floor of my house. They were worn by stepping on them but they were wolf hides. There were the horns of ibex that I had killed in the high Sierra, and there was an eagle stuffed by an embalmer of birds of Avila, with his wings spread, and eyes as yellow and real as the eyes of an eagle alive. It was a very beautiful thing and all of those things gave me great pleasure to contemplate.” “Yes,” said Robert Jordan. “On the door of the church of my village was nailed the paw of a bear that I killed in the spring, finding him on a hillside in the snow, overturning a log with this same paw.” “When was this?” “Six years ago. And every time I saw that paw, like the hand of a man, but with those long claws, dried and nailed through the palm to the door of the church, I received a pleasure.” “Of pride?” “Of pride of remembrance of the encounter with the bear on that hillside in the early spring." This is the product of your art and why it is loved. Thanks again" Item
